In the middle of the book on page 83, Dr. Minkoff discusses the topic of protein myths. One myth he discusses is that collagen is a source of protein.  This is a topic that I’ve seen written about quite often on the Internet. he reports that many people think that putting collagen on their skin will help build up their own collagen and get rid of their wrinkles. Dr. Minkoff goes on to state that this is a myth.  Scientifically the molecule is too big to be absorbed, and it just coats the top, outer layer of your skin.  So many times I have seen ads claiming that their collegian products can get rid of wrinkles.  I cannot begin to tell you how stunned I was from this protein myth. Dr. Minkoff devotes a whole chapter in chapter 2, which provides excellent information, which entails many surprising protein myths.  I found the information in this chapter extremely valuable.

The Search For The Perfect Protein is not only necessary for well-being, but it is vital so people can live a healthy lifestyle so they can function well. Sadly, most people do not get enough protein because of the foods they consume.  With looming deadlines and hard tasks that need to be accomplished immediately, people tend to always be on the go or their just too tired to prepare a healthy meal and they put their health on the line as they increase their risk of developing illnesses, diseases and even the possibility of death.  The trick is how do we change our lifestyle?
