The most important cooking appliance
Maybe having all these kitchen gadgets seems to be too much for you. You can reduce your list by prioritizing which one you will use more. Start by thinking of the type of food you usually make and the times you cook it every week. This will help you to figure out which kitchen appliance to buy first, based on the use you regularly make of it.
Like most families in the world, rice is, undoubtedly, one of the ingredients you use all the time in countless preparations. Imagine preparing an exquisite chicken with rice, a creamy risotto, or even a rice pudding in no time and just by pressing a few buttons.
This is possible with a rice cooker. So, if there is a must-have appliance, this is it.
Multiple benefits, no cons
For some people, cooking rice is a nightmare. Burned, chewy, hard, mushy are just some of the ways the rice often turned out when making any rice dish. For some others, preparing rice meals is not a big problem, but they would like to do it faster.
Both situations will be solved with a rice cooker. The first automatic rice cooker consisted of double chamber equipment. Water was placed in an outer pot that surrounded an inner pot containing the rice. When the water boiled and evaporated, the rice cooker turned off indicating rice was ready.
Years passed, and rice cookers became more and more advanced. The new rice cookers include digital processors for controlling time and temperature, different types of heating, and fuzzy technology that recognizes changes in temperature or water ratio and makes the necessary corrections.
Although modern rice cookers are high-end kitchen gadgets, they are very easy to use. Do not be afraid of this high technology, they are intended to ease your life, instead of complicating it. When using a rice cooker, you only need to pay attention to the rice cooker ratio of rice/water, include all ingredients you want, set the time by pressing a bottom, and that is it.
You can be sure that all your rice dishes will be delicious every time you prepare them in a rice cooker.
