The Best Natural Toothpastes Have Aloe Vera In It!

No wonder more and more people are now using all-natural toothpaste. All you have to do is take a look at all the crap and chemicals that are found in some toothpaste, and you can understand why this is occurring?

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to realize that the chemicals found in standard toothpaste, really should not be going into our body.

They can include nasties such as Triclosan, Fluoride, artificial sweeteners, saccharin, parabens, etc.  Exposure to these chemicals can make you sick and ill. Here is a pretty cool video of what is added to standard toothpaste nowadays.

Fortunately, there is a good variety of all-natural toothpaste out in the marketplace today. This gives us consumers an alternative to using those chemical-infused ‘nasty’ products.

You might find that some natural toothpaste may taste, look and act different ( less foamy) to what you are used to. From our experience, we found that most of the ones we trialed were more effective than standard chemical-laden type toothpaste.

You will find that the best place to get this all-natural toothpaste is off the net, or from your local health store.

A selection of all-natural Toothpaste.

OUR TOP 3 CHOICES

1st Choice – Ugly By Nature

UGLY BY NATURE

What a cool name for all-natural toothpaste. This was the first thought we had when we first spotted UGLY BY Nature on Indigogo.com (a crowdfunding website). It became even cooler once we watched the startup video on its Raw, Whipped, Toothpaste and realized it had Aloe Vera in it.

So being the good new startup supporters which we are, we decided to open our wallets and support the start-up company ‘Ugly by Nature’ and decided to also get a few tubes of toothpaste to trial out ourselves.

The Ugly Toothpaste tubes themselves were branded in funky packaging, which was really different compared to other toothpaste I had bought in the past.  The two that we had ordered were Extreme Mint and Spankin Spearmint.

There were loads of flavors in their range………

  • Xtreme Mint,
  • Chaotic Coconut,
  • Epic Cinnamint,
  • Mixed Berry Madness,
  • Primal Peppermint,
  • Savory Cinamon,
  • Spankin Spearmint
  • Cool Names hey?

This All-Natural Toothpaste is Ugly on the Outside but Beautiful on the Inside.

The first time I squeezed the product out of the tube I totally understood why it was called Ugly by nature toothpaste. It was a horrible gray-blue color and boy it looked ugly…and unusual for a toothpaste. It looked like some sort of filler that you would use to fix a dent in a car. The reason it’s the grayish blue color is that does not have any dyes or colors added. When these ingredients mix together this is the Ugly color that is made.

(PRO TIP-Don’t be shy with the water when using this toothpaste)

We followed the instructions. It was a really different brushing experience. It felt really unusual and like it was cleaning your teeth with really really fine sandpaper. This was the Bentonite Clay in action. When you eventually rinsed your mouth it was horrible (ugly) to see what comes out of your mouth at the end.

For people that are used to using nice and white clinical toothpaste, Ugly toothpaste isn’t for you.

For the people that want a clean like no other toothpaste…It’s way worth trying out. Not long after we started using Ugly by nature toothpaste we noticed that our teeth were becoming a lot whiter which was an added bonus (I just read that the company states that this toothpaste naturally whitens your teeth, and from what I have seen I would have to agree with them).

We also started to notice the state of gums improved in only a short time. I would go out on a limb and say this was probably due to the Aloe Vera which is one of its main ingredients.

The negatives for this item for some might be pricey. At around $9 USD it may be hard for people to justify paying that much, w n you can get an off-the-shelf standard toothpaste cheap.☹ Also as it’s made in the USA, it will take longer for any non-U.S residents to get hold of this.

The positives are that it’s an all-natural toothpaste, which of course means there are no nasty chemicals etc in its makeup.☺

This Is What Is Not In It.

This is what is not in it:

  • Fluoride,
  • Sodium Sulfates,
  • Parabens,
  • Artificial Colors,
  • Preservatives,
  • Foaming Agents,
  • Thickening Agents,
  • Stabilizers,
  • Artificial Sweeteners,
  • Glycerin,
  • Gluten and/or GMOs.

Another cool fact I found out about ugly by nature was that they don’t test on animals and the toothpaste is vegan.

It’s better than any of the other all-natural toothpaste I have tried so far, and I have tried quite a few different types ( such as; Nature’s Gate, Jason, Forever Living, Mondere, Grants, Woolworths, Red Seal, and Kiss my Face, etc).

I guess if I had to describe it to someone that had not used it before I would say it’s a totally natural toothpaste with a grunt!

I guess the fact that it is an all-natural toothpaste and it has Aloe Vera gel as one of the ingredients, is one of the main benefits of this toothpaste. Here is more information about the benefits of Aloe Vera.

It may take a few times to get used to this toothpaste. I would recommend you live on the edge and try this as I will be surprised if you can find yourself a more effective all-natural toothpaste with Aloe Vera in it…..(open for suggestions of course). There is no doubt that I will be continuing to use ugly Toothpaste, for sure.

Score Rating – ☺☺☺☺/5. (It loses a smiley rating due to it being so Ugly).

Ok here are our 2nd  and 3rd choices for a great all-natural Toothpaste. Even though they are more like a gel than traditional toothpaste, we found they work better than the other toothpaste we have been using and trialing.

2nd Choice – Kiss My Face

Another cool name for a toothpaste…lol

This came in a close second to Ugly.

We liked the Triple Action,  antioxidant defenders, Co-Q10, Tea Tree with Xylitol, and Aloe. It had a great taste and was no harsh.

Technically this is an Aloe Vera Tooth Gel and you could say is not really a real toothpaste. We have decided to include Aloe Vera Tooth Gel in our top choices because they worked really well and worked better than most of the other natural toothpaste we trialed. Like the Ugly Toothpaste, Kiss my Face did magic not only on our teeth but also with our gums.

Ingredients: Vegetable Glycerin, Water, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, Xylitol, Calcium Carbonate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Cetraria Islandica (Iceland Moss) Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Stevia Rebaudiana Extract, Natural Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Citrate, Potassium Sorbate

Score Rating -☺☺☺1/2 out of 5. A really great product.

This is what is not in it:

  • Fluoride,
  • SLS,
  • Parabens,
  • Phthalates
  • Thickening Agents,
  • Artificial Flavours  and Fragrances,
  • Glycerin,
  • Non-Animal Tested
  • Gluten.

3rd Choice – Forever Bright

Forever Bright Toothgel by Forever Living Products.

Our 3rd Choice was an interesting one. It was very similar to Kiss my Face. It used stabilized Aloe vera and Bee Propolis in its ingredients. It was gentle to use and seemed really effective on my teeth and gums.

When we did our research for this Aloe Vera Tooth gel, we were surprised by how many really great reviews there were for this product. Forever Living is one of the world’s biggest growers and distributors of Aloe vera.

I can’t fault them for this product that they have made. Over the time we tried it out it worked a treat.

Score Rating -☺☺☺/5 It gets a top 3 finish because of the Bee Propolis.
