Lack of Enough Sleep Results in Consumption of More Calories and Diet Imbalance

Published in the Huffington Post It turns out that when you fail to get enough sleep, you are likely to consume more calories the next day. The study was published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition by researchers from London King’s College, and it involved a comprehensive analysis of 11 different studies involving 172 participants. The purpose of the study was to compare how sleep deprivation, or the lack of it, affected calorie consumption over the next 24 hours. The rest deprived individuals in the study spent between three and a half hours and five hours in bed, while the control group spent between 7 and 12 hours in bed.
