Runny or stuffy nose (rhinorrhea) is the most common symptom that occurs from cold, allergies, infection, inflammation and dirt around. The specialist has identified that bacteria, meals, sleep, stress, and even emotion can be the causes of a runny nose. A runny nose is a really annoying condition that may further occur headaches and other brain diseases. When your nose is getting stuffed and you sneeze, you also become stuck with it.
1. Steam yourself
The fast and effective remedy for a runny nose is steam yourself by taking a warm bath. After having a shower, stay in the bathroom for some time until steam remains. Warm bath gives instant comfort to soothe a runny nose.
2. Humidify your bedroom
Humidifying bedroom is the best approach to treating a runny nose. If it’s possible to invest a humidifier in the bedroom. A humidifier helps to add moisture to the air in a room environment that makes mucus thinner. If you can’t manage humidifier, then close the door after having a steam shower. That makes your room steam.
3. Salt water gargle
Salt water is a simple and easiest remedy to get rid of a runny nose. Just take warm water in a small bowl. Add a little pinch of salt and combine it. First, gargle with the salt water for a couple of minutes. Afterward, wash the nostrils with the solution. That helps to clear out the toxins from the nose. Do it several times throughout the day.
4. Herbal tea
Herbal tea really works excellent for a runny nose. I’ve tested one more herbal tea on my own. Among them, ginger tea is the best one. Let’s prepare it. Take a few fresh slices of ginger and boil them for 5-7 minutes with a mug of water. You can put a cinnamon stick to add a pleasant aroma. Take a tea bag in a mug with necessary sugar. Pour the flavored water in a tea mug and enjoy the greatest herbal tea after adding a little lemon extract.
5. Mustard oil
Mustard oil is a pretty simple but effective remedy for getting rid of a runny nose. You can take the pleasure of mustard oil in many ways. Take ½ cup boiled vapor water and add 2 tbsp oil in it. Then inhale the vapor with long breaths. Do it several times throughout the day.
