Bhringaraaja (Eclipta Prostrata)
Promotes hair growth on the head and reverses balding and premature graying. It helps to calm the mind promotes sound sleep.
Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri, waterhyssop, thyme-leafed gratiola, water hyssop, Indian pennywort)
Used along with curd it makes an excellent hair pack.
Indian gooseberry is packed with Vitamin C and loaded with antioxidants. In powdered form it can be mixed with henna, Brahmi powders along with curd to make a great hair pack.
A natural remedy against dandruff and lice and has blood purifying abilities. Use in powdered form with coconut oil or curd to massage the scalp.

10. Aromatic Jatamansi (Spikenard, Muskroot)
A common name for this herb in Ayurvedic medicine is Muskroot or the Indian Spikenard. It has the power to remove blood impurities as well as give a glowing complexion. You can either consume it in the form of a capsule (sticking to not more than 6mgs) or apply it directly on the scalp.
Methi is a commonly used herb in our households, an excellent remedy for hair growth. Grind some slightly dry roasted methi, make a paste of it in warm water depending on hair length and keep it on for 20 minutes before washing off.
Baheda/Vibhitak (Beleric Myrobala)
A superb hair vitaliser.
Kuth/Costus (Saussurea costus)
Removes bald spots. To get hair growth in bald spots, mix it with coconut oil and rub on the spot for two-three minutes. Then apply Mahabhringraj oil and keep for about an hour. Wash this off with an herbal shampoo.
