Follow the Top Natural Beauty Trends of 2021

2021 is a year of change and big new things. A lot of us took this time to think about what we show the world of ourselves, and some are even considering rejoining the social scene with a whole new style.

We’ve been cooped up in sweatpants on our zoom calls, camera off and your hair tied back for way too long. Some may have gotten a little daring (or stir-crazy) and tried some at-home beauty treatments that go to show just why we invest in professionals and trust them with our hair.

Thankfully, there are a lot of great natural beauty trends and habits we can indulge in to get ourselves looking runway-ready—even if we’re just getting a few drinks with our gal pals for the first time in way too long.

Naturally Healthy Hair, Naturally Beautiful

Let’s not start the return to normal by looking like we came out of an early ‘80s post-apocalypse movie. One of the best things we can do to keep our hair happy and healthy is by following an all-natural care routine that is adapted to your needs.

VoCê offers an entire series of shampoos and conditioners that can boost or amplify what traits you need from your hair to attain your fashion goals. Their products are cruelty-free, free of sulfates and parabens, and vegan-friendly.

Following up with a leave-in conditioner keeps your locks looking healthy by being shiny, moisturized, tangle-free, and better protected from heat and harsh treatments. No matter what style you plan on rocking, nothing will make it look better than making sure that the quality of your hair looks top-notch. Plus, taking proper care of it will help to ensure that your colors stay rich and vibrant.

De-stress to Impress

You’re more than a pretty face, you’re also a beautiful mind. Taking time to make sure that you get enough sleep and taking care of your mental health is a great way to stay looking bright and lively.

Being under stress—like so many of us have been during the last year—can show up in ways such as causing acne, blemishes, and patchy skin. Stress can also change the way you eat and nourish yourself, causing either dry and flaky skin if you stop drinking water and opt for sugary distractions and coffee or greasy skin if your worries make you reach for a bag of chips.

Constantly furrowing your brow, frowning, or other tense facial expressions can contribute to fine lines and wrinkles. Being conscious of how you are holding your face and remembering to relax the muscles is a great way to reduce premature aging.

Self-care is sexy. Pamper yourself with yoga, take a break and dance it out to your fight song, or set up an at-home spa night with some candles to melt away your obstacles.

Rest to Be the Best

As if anyone needed an excuse for an extra bit of sleep, making sure that you get enough shut-eye is a surprisingly simple and natural way to help you look bright and fresh.

Not getting enough can leave you with dark circles that need more time and makeup to conceal—and that’s not to mention the stubborn under-eye bags. Unless you’re trying to drop strong hints to your coworkers to pick something up for you on their Starbucks run, it’s best to make sure you practice good sleep hygiene.

Cut back on the caffeine in the afternoon and limit screen time as you get closer to bedtime. If you find yourself stressing about the events of the day, start practicing some light yoga or meditation to clean the slate for a new start.

Moisturize, Honey

There’s a trend for returning to our roots—and we’re not talking about the ones we saw while our hairdressers were closed. The moisturizing and antimicrobial properties of honey and coconut oil are making waves and showing us that we don’t need laboratory-made chemicals to protect and nourish our skin.

The best part is, you use it as a base for your own at-home scrubs and masks.

Embracing You

Whatever fashion choices you’re making this new year, the most important thing to remember is to take care of yourself. Every person has their natural beauty which can be enhanced by taking care of what you have and embracing it for maximum effect.

Nothing is more naturally beautiful than your confidence.
