5 Natural Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) occurs when a man has consistent and repeated problems sustaining an erection. Without treatment, ED can make sexual intercourse difficult. The problem is reported by 1 in 5 men and that number increases with age.

It is normal that we stop producing testosterone as we grow; Besides, there are other factors that can damage your testosterone production: excess steroids; and especially cultural, environmental, and food changes that increasingly harm men, at any age:

  • Stress increases cortisol levels but decreases testosterone
  • Lack of sleep drains testosterone because it develops when we sleep (especially in the REM stage of sleep).
  • Large soy inputs favor estrogen, decreasing testosterone and sperm production.
  • It has been shown that a low-fat diet is not the ideal solution to improve your physical image, nor does it improve testosterone levels
  • Smoking: Nicotine and cotinine, found in cigarettes, inhibit the production of testosterone.

Symptoms of ED

Symptoms of ED include:

  • Erections that are too soft for sexual intercourse.
  • Erections that are too brief for sexual intercourse.
  • An inability to achieve erections.

Men who cannot get or maintain an erection that lasts long enough or is rigid enough to complete sexual intercourse is considered to have erectile dysfunction.

Natural Treatments for ED

sleep

8 hours of sleep

It is surprising if we manage to sleep the 8 hours needed to recover energy. In general, we stay within 6 or 7 hours of sleep per night; but, eventually, we will feel the ravages of that “small difference” of sleep.

The body generates almost all the testosterone it needs while it sleeps (that’s why on a regular basis you should awaken with the typical morning wood). It also regulates the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone that fights testosterone.

To improve, ignore the blue light of your smartphone before sleeping, avoid the afternoon coffee and take a hot shower. Sleep 8-9 hours per night; and be consistent. Weekends are a time for rest and fun, but take advantage of your working days to have the “beauty rest” for your manhood.

Avocado

Food

30% of your daily calories should come from monosaturated fat. Nuts, olive oil, and avocado are excellent for increasing testosterone. Don’t ignore meat (the 2: 1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein is ideal), or vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, onions, and Brussels sprouts to balance estrogen and testosterone.

fitness

Exercise

Pump your muscles, a lot! Weight training is perfect for raising testosterone. Concentrate on deadlifts, shoulder and bench presses, and squats. Do compound exercises such as push-ups, paddles, pull-ups, and bottoms. If you work large muscles, and several muscle groups at the same time, you will increase testosterone.

It is recommended to do a few repetitions, with a lot of weight (without exceeding your limits). It also looks for HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) routines: short but intense energy biases, followed by relaxation cycles.

L-arginine

According to Healthline, L-arginine is an amino acid naturally present in your body. It helps make nitric oxide. Nitric oxide relaxes blood vessels to facilitate a successful erection and is essential for healthy sexual functioning.

Researchers studied the effects of L-arginine on ED. Thirty-one percent of men with ED taking 5 grams of L-arginine per day experienced significant improvements in sexual function.

A second study showed that L-arginine combined with Pycnogenol, a plant product from tree bark, restored the sexual ability to 80 percent of participants after two months. Ninety-two percent had restored sexual ability after three months.

Another placebo-controlled study found that L-arginine in combination with other medications was well-tolerated, safe, and effective for mild-to-moderate ED.

Sex

Imagine, just with having an erection you increase your testosterone levels. The next step? Have more sex If your partner agrees, start the day with morning sex so that you both fill your days with energy.

Sex will be better every time because testosterone is the fuel of your sexual energy. It also increases libido and improves erections. That’s why, as we get older, the natural decrease in testosterone lowers our sexual potency a bit; and that, sadly, sometimes results in erectile dysfunction.

But it is nothing shameful or that can not be remedied. If you transform your lifestyle a bit to favor the production of testosterone, it is likely that your sex life will suffer much less in the long term. In any case, you can always look for ED Medical Information to calm your doubts and preserve intimate moments with your partner.

Do not relegate it, seek information and transform your lifestyle with this important hormone. Testosterone is the first step to emulate the models of virility that preceded us, and exemplify the maxims Semper Fidelis, Semper Virilis.
