Cleaning your skin

Clean skin is happy skin! Clean your face in the morning and before you go to bed. This will help wash away any excess dirt and oil that may have built up on the surface of your skin. Keep in mind that over-washing your face can easily disturb the natural pH and microbiome of your skin. Since the skin needs to breathe overnight, make sure you always remove your makeup before going to bed. Leaving your makeup overnight clogs the pores which may cause blemishes or blackheads. Try to use calming ingredients like aloe, lavender, chamomile, green tea polyphenols, and oats.

In general, the natural oil cleansing method is an excellent solution for any skin type, though the combinations of oils vary based on skin type. This method entails cleaning your pores of dirt and bacteria naturally and gently. It replaces the dirty oils with beneficial oils that can heal, protect and nourish your skin. Exfoliation helps to keep pores clear and stimulates collagen production. You can rid your skin of dead cells manually using sugar, oats or apple cider vinegar to reveal newer, brighter skin cells underneath. Exfoliation not only makes your skin more glowing, but it also helps ensure that the products you layer on top are absorbed more deeply. If you have oily skin, exfoliate 1-2 times a week. If your skin is more sensitive or dry, peel no more than once a week.

Apply Toner

Toners are designed to rebalance the skin after cleansing. They help you get rid of excess oil, dirt, and leftover makeup after you wash your face. To rebalance your skin’s pH, use organic witch hazel. Also, you can use lemon, because it is an antibacterial ingredient that helps to clear up pimples and acne and smooth and brighten your skin. Moreover, due to this characteristic, jojoba oil “tricks” oily skin types into producing less oil. It is an excellent source of antioxidants and is also rich in vitamin E.
