(PRI) Pacific Resources International Manuka Honey Strawberry Lollipops – “An Alternative Approach for Sore Throats!”

When your throat is sore or irritating and you’re unable to enjoy the day or get a good night sleep, a natural remedy called (PRI) Pacific Resources International Manuka Honey Strawberry Lollipops can help soothe your throat so you can get on with your daily activities and restore calmness back into your life

Did you know…?

Using honey is a time-honored way to soothe a sore throat. Honey may be an effective cough suppressant, too. In fact, in a study done, honey appeared to be as effective as a common cough suppressant ingredient, dextromethorphan, in typical over-the-counter doses.

What is (PRI) Pacific Resources International Manuka Honey Strawberry Lollipops

PRI Children’s Strawberry & Manuka Honey Lollipops and Lemon & Honey Lollipops are great tasting for everyday wellness. They have the benefits of Propolis rich in Bioflavonoids, Manuka Honey NPA (NNon-PeroxideActivity) 10+, and Menthol to help fight off infections. They’re great for those “what’s going around” days.

The Benefits of Honey

In a 2007 study conducted by researchers at Penn State University, it was found that honey was just as effective, if not more than dextromethorphan, an active ingredient found in over the counter cough and sore throat syrups, in relieving pain from sore throats and suppressing coughs (Bagley, 2013). Granted honey is not a cure for any viral or bacterial infection. But honey can relieve the extreme pain that sore throats can cause.

The reason honey relieves sore throat pain is twofold. For one, honey is excellent at drawing moisture out of wounds and inflamed tissue. Sore throats are often caused by inflamed tissue within the throat itself. Since honey draws the moisture out of the tissue, the pain is relieved. Second, honey contains antibacterial properties, which kill bacteria on contact. If your sore throat is caused by a bacterial infection, then using honey will most likely kill the bacteria in your throat and relieve pain. However, if your sore throat is the result of a viral infection then honey won’t be as effective in killing the virus. Even so, it will still act as an effective pain reliever.
