I found this book to be very heartwarming, informative, and motivational. Packed with touching stories from her rocky journey in life as she shares advice and guidance on how she was able to take the traumatic obstacles that crossed her life path and use them as a motivator to grow and create positive change in her life. Get Balanced, Get Blissed is filled with fabulous insight on how to cope, overcome and turn your life around including great advice on nutrition and mediation, which not only help your body get into shape but will make you feel a thousand times better.
Lynne Goldberg’s book, “Get Balanced, Get Blissed,” gave me the insights to understand that we are not alone. Everyone in life goes through tragic events at some point in their life and there are some people who unfortunately are faced with obstacles every day of their lives.
The trick is how do we cope with these obstacles?
Do we let the negative things that happen to us in life get the best of us and slowly destroy us making us feel angry, saddened, and depressed? Or do we reach out to others with experience in this field to teach us how to accept the negative things that occur in our lives and use them to empower us to make positive changes in our lives that will help us live in the moment and appreciate the life we live and the air we breathe?

One important factor, I learned from this book is that you need to make sure you maintain a healthy connection with your mind, body, and soul. The reason for this is that you need all three connected in order for your body to operate at full capacity and most important in order to live a happy, healthy, and productive life.
In chapter 1, she opens up and lets you into her world sharing her ups and downs and the pain she endured while struggling to go on with her life while the obstacles she encountered kept trying to run her over. She discusses the concept of bliss and talks about how to make bliss a part of your own life.
As you enter chapter 2, she discusses nutrition and goes on to explain how what we put into our bodies has a huge impact on the way we feel. She includes studies and research that show how we could heal our bodies and improve our mental and physical health by incorporating the right foods into our diet. Goldberg not only discusses how to eat right, but she also shows you how to transform your entire life as the book continues.

As you continue reading, you will find on page 48 she discusses the environment we live in plays a big role in the way we take care of our bodies. From this chapter, I learned that in order for change to occur we need to become leaders, not followers. We need to learn to care for our environment because after years of abusing the environment we are experiencing negative outcomes. It is affecting our health and causing many unnecessary health conditions that we could avoid. We also need to eat the way some other countries do. We consume so many processed, toxic foods in such large quantities that our country’s ways of life is slowly killing us.
If people change, teach, and advocate a better way of living then change will occur. We need to change ourselves first then go out to become an advocate and fight for a better way of living for the people in our country. Fight for what is right. If the majority of society changes then the corporate world will have no choice, but to change too. Corporations and companies only produce when there is a demand for something. If we change our lifestyle they will have no choice, but to change too because the demand for it will be gone. I am up for the challenge. Are you?

In addition, through reading this book I realize no matter what age you are you can transform your life and create the life you always wanted for yourself. A life filled with happiness, inner peace, good health, and bliss.
