6 Things That People Get Wrong When Taking CBD Oil

More people are turning to CBD oil than ever these days. CBD oil has many wonderful purposes. You can use CBD oils from reliable retailers like Penguin CBD to treat anxiety, manage pain, reduce depression, improve sleep, and eliminate stress.

Despite the scary War on Drugs propaganda you probably heard in the 1990s, CBD oil is safe to consume. When taken properly, the therapeutic benefits can vastly outweigh the side effects.

However, you still need to be cautious when using CBD oil for the first time. New CBD users are prone to making mistakes, which can temper the benefits and lead to unpleasant and easily avoidable side effects.

As with any new substance, you need to do your research and use it responsibly. Here are some common mistakes that CBD users make.

Neglecting to pay attention to THC content

CBD and THC are two main chemicals that are found in cannabis plants. Many people that are not familiar with cannabis might use the terms interchangeably. However, they are not at all alike. You need to understand the differences between THC and CBD to be an informed user. Here is an overview of the two:

  • THC is a psychoactive compound that binds with Cannabinoid 1 receptors in your brain. This is the chemical that induces the sensation of being high when someone uses marijuana. It is also classified as A controlled substance.
  • CBD has a similar chemical structure to THC. However, a slight difference in the atomic bonds prevents it from easily binding to the brain’s cannabinoid 1 receptors. Therefore, it does not cause intoxicating effects like THC. It might even minimize the degree of intoxication that THC causes. Since you can’t get high from CBD, it is not legally considered a controlled substance.

You need to pay close attention to the ingredients of any CBD oil that you are trying. CBD oil that is legally manufactured and sold won’t have THC content above 0.3%. You also won’t have to worry about getting high using it, which is especially important if you are driving or operating heavy machinery.

Neglecting to pay close attention to the CBD dosage

Some people try using CBD oil for the first time with their friends. They take a moderate dose and feel A modest effect. Then they purchase their own CBD oil and try taking the same dose. They may feel overwhelmed afterward.

Why would this happen? It is usually because the second oil they tried had a much higher concentration. They consumed far more CBD in the same dose.

You need to pay close attention to the concentration of any CBD oil that you try. It is important to measure your consumption by the milligrams of CBD that you are consuming, rather than the number of drops.

Studying with too high of a dose

Everybody reacts to CBD oil differently. Your body weight is one of the most important variables in determining the amount of CBD that you should be consuming. However, even people with the same body weight might need to take different doses. They may have different metabolisms and the severity of the condition they are trying to treat me differently as well. Also, a more experienced CBD user will generally have a higher tolerance, which means they need a higher dose.

It takes time to find the perfect dose. The best approach is to start with a lower dose and gradually increase it until you reach the right therapeutic levels. As a general rule of thumb, you should start with 10 mg a day. You can increase your dose by 5 mg a day until you find the right dose.

You should consider using a CBD journal to track your dosage. You will want to keep records of the amount of CBD that you consumed each day, how well it helped, and whether there were any side effects. You should keep a journal for a while after you find the right dose. You may find that you have started to build a tolerance and may need to adjust it.

Worrying too much about the flavors of your CBD oil

You can find the best CBD oils in many different flavors. Lemon, orange, grape, apple, berry, coconut and lime are just a few of the flavors that you can purchase. Many CBD oils also have unique blends of different flavors, which can tantalize your taste buds in unbelievable ways.

Many new CBD users purchase CBD oil based on the flavor alone. This may not be a big deal if you are purely using CBD recreationally. However, you shouldn’t focus too much on the flavor if you are trying to manage a serious condition like anxiety or depression. The strongest CBD tinctures often have blander and harsher flavors, because the flavorings can dilute the CBD levels somewhat.

You can still find flavorful CBD oils, but you need to put things in perspective. It is important to look at the other properties and make sure the oil is capable of managing your symptoms. The more severe the problem you are trying to treat is, the less concerned you should be about the flavoring.

Not comparing CBD oils between different vendors

The number of CBD manufacturers is growing every year. Unfortunately, the growing market can make it difficult to find the best products.

It is important to compare different products online. Most popular CBD oils have many reviews. You should read them thoroughly to see what CBD oils are best for your situation. Some CBD oils are designed specifically for treating certain ailments, such as pain or depression. Some are manufactured more with flavor in mind.

You should also get input from other CBD users. They can help you find the best line of CBD oil.

Forgetting to get feedback from your healthcare providers

CBD is safe and can be effective for treating certain ailments. However, you need to be careful about using it on your own.

You should always talk to your physician or psychiatrist before using any new treatment, including CBD oil. They can give their perspective and help you decide whether it is worth using.
