5 Common Mistakes to Avoid When Buying CBD Oil

The Cannabidiol (CBD) market continues to flourish as one of the fastest growing industry with $16 billion outlook by 2025. More states are legalizing the use of marijuana and this has expanded the business drastically in the last decade.

There are two types of CBD oils – oils extracted from hemp plants and oils extracted from marijuana. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is removed from CBD products as it’s responsible for psychoactive effects and can get you high.

CBD oil when consumed correctly provides treatment for a number of serious conditions like anxiety, depression, cancer, and sleep disorders.

With the market becoming saturated, consumers need to know what to look for in good CBD products.

Below are 5 common mistakes to avoid when buying CBD oil.

Don’t Compromise on Quality Over Price

Producing safe and pure CBD oil is costly and there are numerous vendors produce cheap versions that could be dangerous for consumption. Some untrustworthy vendors are making the oils in unsafe ways, therefore it’s important to research a vendor thoroughly before making a purchase.

Reputable vendors display information clearly in their websites on their extraction process and methods. They include the CBD and THC (below 0.3%) content. They also indicate sources of hemp and whether or not it’s a whole plant product or CBD isolate.

On the website, the vendor should also indicate whether the product is tested by a 3rd party lab and the report should be readily available as well.
There are reliable and authentic retailers who sell CBD varied products from bath salts to CBD pet treats and CBD oil for dogs as well.

Don’t Assume CBD Oils Won’t Get You High

Don’t be mistaken, if CBD oil is sourced from marijuana, it will contain some significant amounts of psychoactive THC elements. This will make you high.

When sourced correctly, hemp derived CBD oil should contain only 0.3% THC. If there is a breach and the threshold surpassed, it could get you intoxicated. Professional vendors use safe extraction procedures to ensure their end products are non-psychoactive.

Not Doing Adequate Research when Buying CBD Oil

To get insights into the quality of the product, please review other people’s experiences using the products or brand. This action will help you gauge the legitimacy of the product or brand. This information can be found on products’ websites or on their social media pages and will guide you on whether or not to give the product a try.

You can also ask your friends what CBD oils they use and their experiences using them.

Know Your Product

Educate yourself on what the contents of the CBD oils will do for you and what are the expected results from using the product. You definitely want to know its levels of concentration, how you are supposed to consume it, and for how long.

Is CBD Legal in Your State?

Before any online purchase, be sure that the use of CBD is legal in your state to avoid getting in trouble with the law. Some states have requirements in place to use CBD and others have strict laws.

Use CBD Oils in the Right Way

When you consider buying CBD oil as an alternative supplement, be sure to buy from trusted vendors who ensure the quality of their products.

Determine your ideal dosage and ensure it meets your needs. In case you are under medication, consult your doctor before using CBD oil to avoid potentially harmful interactions.
