DrugStars App Review: The Best App to Remind You When to Take Your Medicine

Staying healthy and getting your medications exactly when your body needs them is vital, but sometimes you just forget. Taking your medication should be as easy and automatic as possible, not yet another thing you need to add to your mental checklist. Thankfully, there is an app that adds ease and simplicity to adhering to your medication regimen — whether it’s making sure you take it or making sure you don’t accidentally take two doses — that goes way beyond your mother’s pillbox.

Personally,  I prefer the DrugStars App.  It is a self-management tool to help you record, track, manage, and help you remember to take your medications. The DrugStars App lets you record medicines and the time you need to take them.

When it is time to take your medicine, you receive a text from DrugStars reminding you that it is time to take your medication.  You then press the pill button to signify that you have taken your medicine and then you are rewarded points that transfer into stars.  You can use those stars to donate to your favorite charities and companies will pick up the tab and donate the money according to how many reward stars you accumulate.

Also, each month you automatically are entered into raffles.  The more you donate by collecting stars the more chances you have to Win.

Why I Love the DrugStars App

The DrugStars App also helps you remember what to do – you can have reminders of when to take your medicines. Taking medications on a consistent basis can sometimes become confusing.  There have been many times where I couldn’t remember if I took my medicine.  Forgetting to take a dosage can be very serious, especially if you’re dealing with a serious condition like your heart, diabetes, epilepsy and many other illnesses.

With the Drugstars App, there are no more forgotten details. No more complicated record keeping. No more trouble remembering your medications. The DrugStars App makes managing your medicine, or your loved one’s medicine, fast and easy.

The Reviewer’s Thoughts on The DrugStars App

At the age of five, I developed epilepsy.  I have been taking medication for my epilepsy for a very long time.  I have always had trouble with my memory because most of my seizures had occurred in the left temporal lobe right by my memory.  However, the last three, four years I noticed a decline in my memory.  I would forget if I took my medicine and it was then that I knew that I couldn’t rely on just my memory to take my medications.  I needed to find another a reliable source to help me make sure I would not forget to take my medicine.

Forgetting to take a dosage could cause a seizure and that’s something you can’t play around with.  Then I was introduced to the DrugStars App.

Using the app was easy.  I downloaded it to my phone, added the medications I took and the time I needed to take them and that’s all I needed to do. I was set and ready to go.  When it was time to take my medicine, I would receive a text message, then I would go to the app after I took my medicine and click onto the pill button.  Afterward, I earned reward points that I used to donate to Charites that were paid for by sponsoring companies.  #GivingByTaking

The whole process took no longer than 3 seconds.  What I like about this app is that the app helps me to take my medicine. By taking my medicine, I am helping myself and by using this app I am participating in a program that gives back to others by donating their proceeds to charities.

I highly recommend it this app to individuals that are looking for a reliable app to help them to remember to take their medications.
